We were there on a beautiful day, with the sun dappling through the trees onto the slow moving river… A few ducks paddled by reminding all that this is not an “attraction” but a real river, and we had a minister who took his time with us, calling each congregant by name, praying over them individually, asking for their affirmation of their need for God’s forgiveness, and carefully immersing them in the water…
